Luke and I never intended to go on a walking tour in Cebu. We sorta stumble upon the tourist spots when I asked the taxi driver to dropped us at Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. We saw Heritage of Cebu, Shamrock Store and Cathedral of Cebu and thought, we could do our small tour.
Below is a map of our tour:
1. Fort San Pedro is one of the oldest and smallest forts in the Philippines built to repel hostile natives and muslim invaders. It is made of mortar and corals.
Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 8:00AM - 6:00PM
Entrance Fee: 30PHP per person
2. Magellan's Cross is a Christian Cross planted by Magellan upon Arriving in Cebu Philippines.
3. Minor Basilica of the Santo Niño or Basilica Minore del Santo Niño was built in the 16th Century. It is the country's oldest Roman Catholic Church.
4. Shamrock. Not really a heritage site but listed here for it's souvenir purpose. :) This store sells dried squid, otap, dried mangos and pasalubong that are truly Cebuanos.
5. Heritage of Cebu Monument is made of concrete, bronze, brass and steel depicting the different event that is related to the history of Cebu.
6. YAP-SANDIEGO Ancestral House
The YAP-SANDIEGO Heritage House is made of wood and coral stones. It was built by Chinese merchants in the late 17th century and is considered to be one of the oldest existing residential structures in the Philippines. Everything is "ancient" in the house apart from an air-conditioned unit and a fridge as the present family from the YAP-SANDIEGO clan lives there on weekends.
Opening: Daily from 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Entrance Fee: 50PHP

Looks like an interesting place. Must plan a trip to Cebu :)
Cebu is both old and new. There are lots of things to do. You have to travel by 3 hours or so to see clean, white beaches. :)
I'm very happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that's at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this greatest doc.
